String Audition Information
Current Middle School or IVA students ONLINE ONLY
Do I have to audition now for the Symphonic or Philharmonic Orchestra?
Philharmonic? YES! Symphonic? No, but you can if you would like. Concert and Symphonic Orchestra meet the same period in different rooms with different teachers. To recognize those students for their hard work over the summer, the first week of school we will listen to all string players and place them in the correct orchestra. This will not change their schedule, just the room in which they meet.
Who should audition?
Students interested in Philharmonic Orchestra (the top of three orchestras), or those incoming 9th graders that take their instrument seriously and/or study privately.
